Bishop Jeff Greenway
After 35 years in the United Methodist Church, Dr. Jeff Greenway became an elder in the Global Methodist Church in January of 2023. He was ordained a bishop of the Global Methodist Church at our historic convening general conference held in San Jose Costa Rica in September of 2024.
He currently serves as bishop of the Heartland and North Carolina Annual Conferences as well as overseeing GMC development in Rwanda and Thailand. In addition, he continues to serve as the conference superintendent of the Allegheny West Conference of the Global Methodist Church. Prior to this he served as the lead pastor of Reynoldsburg Community Church, the President of Asbury Theological Seminary, Superintendent of the Pittsburgh East District of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, and as Pastor of congregations in Butler and Erie, Pennsylvania.
Jeff has a passion for seeing people come to a saving faith relationship with Jesus Christ. He believes that every member of the Body has a distinctive role and function in ministry. Through his commitment to Christ-centered, Bible-based teaching, Jeff leads the church to become all that God has intended and equipped them to be. He is a gifted leader, preacher, teacher, and servant.
Jeff is a graduate of Mount Union College, Asbury Theological Seminary and Wesley Theological Seminary. He is married to Beth and together they are parents to three adult children and their spouses: Nathan and Rachel, Joe and Suzanne, and Paige and Chris. God has blessed them with eight grandchildren.
