Certified Lay Ministry Foundations

Registration is now open for our In-Person Certified Lay Ministry Foundations Course on November 1, 2025.

This starting course in the Certified Lay Ministers curriculum, Certified Lay Minister Foundations, is required to become a CLM in the Global Methodist Church (GMC). By the end of this course, you will have a firm foundation and understand the essentials of the Bible (scripture), how the GMC came to be (our history), what we believe (our theology), and how we are organized (our polity). The new GMC Book of Doctrines and Discipline (BODD) outlines the requirements for lay ministry; this course fulfills a portion of that requirement.

Hosted by Marysville Methodist Church at 1500 North St. Marysville, KS 66508, from 9:00am – 4:30pm.

Check-in begins at 8:30am, with continental breakfast options available. Lunch will also be provided.

The class is limited to 30 students, and there is a non-refundable course fee of $30. This does not include course books which must be ordered separately.

(Please Note: All reading must be completed prior to the day of class.)
