Les was working in finance and credit union management when he got the call to the ministry in 2001. He completed an MDiv at Asbury Theological Seminary in 2011. His first appointment was to a three point charge in rural Russell County Kansas in 2012 where he continues to serve. He married Laurie in 1988. They lived all over the US, and spent 10 years in England while she served in the U.S. Navy. One highlight of his time abroad was attending a small English Methodist Chapel and serving as the treasurer, the leader of its nursing home ministry, and a verger. Les loves to read and can often be found poring over financial news, the sports pages, or biographies. A recent highlight of his current ministry was facilitating two sessions of Griefshare.
Les is the Pastor of The Lucas Community Church, Lucas, KS; The Community Church of Luray, Luray, KS; and the independent Amherst Church in rural Russell County KS.

Fun Fact: Les served six years in the U.S. Navy Reserves as a Russian linguist.
