Re: The 2026 Western Kansas Church Camp

 

We are preparing for Church Camp!  Here is the information we have for you:

 

    1. We are asking all churches to pray for the Western Kansas Church Camp
    2. Church Camp Dates: May 26-29, 2026
    3. Location: Camp Lakeside, outside Scott City, Kansas
    4. Who would enjoy this camp? Rising sixth graders through departing eighth graders!

 

  • Costs: Camper – $305.00 Adult volunteer – $255.00 (required)

  2. Print the attached flyers at your convenience! 
  3. Times for the camp: 
    1. Check-in is on Tuesday, from 3 PM to 4 PM at the camp
    2. Check-out is at Noon on Friday
  4. Each church that sends campers:
    1. Send a counselor for each sex
    2. The Heartland Conference requires each adult volunteer to have a MinistrySafe background check (every two years).  This includes the Camp video for the Sexual Abuse Awareness Training. 
    3. If unable to send a counselor, then contact Rev. Grimm to inform him of the circumstances so that we can have enough men and women to maintain a ratio of one adult per eight campers
    4. Adult Volunteers will be sent a PDF of the Master Programming Guide that they will need to print and bring with them to camp
    5. We will have a Saturday in May for the Adult Volunteers to be trained with the Master Programming Guide
    6. Liability Insurance – each church will have liability insurance coverage for their campers and adult volunteers at camp
