Camping Ministry

The Heartland Camping Ministry exists to equip, resource, and support local churches and ministry leaders as they offer transformational camp experiences for children, youth, and adults across the Heartland Conference.

Created in 2024 with the goal to help promote, strengthen and guide camping opportunities so that each camp reflects the mission, theology, and values of the Global Methodist Church. We believe camp is more than a retreat or event. It is a sacred space where people can encounter Jesus Christ, respond to the work of the Holy Spirit, grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and be equipped to live as faithful disciples.

Our purpose is to help ensure that every Heartland-connected camp is rooted in Scripture, centered in Christ, open to the movement of the Holy Spirit, and committed to the work of making disciples. Through worship, biblical teaching, prayer, small groups, fellowship, recreation, and mission-focused experiences, our camps seek to nurture faith that continues long after camp ends.

At the heart of Heartland Camping Ministry is a commitment to helping children, youth, and adults know Christ, grow in holiness of heart and life, and join in spreading Scriptural holiness throughout our communities.
